There is heritage accommodation in Goulburn, world class catering, florists, marquee and equipment hire, as well as rail, bus and air transport.
The gardens and orchard of Kelburn provide a number of areas from intimate spaces to large rolling lawns, ideal for wedding ceremonies and any sort of function. There is also a hilly forest and beautiful, natural ponds, which provide different opportunities.
Kelburn is a fully operational 1300 acre sheep and cropping property. It was established in 1831, when the original land grant was given to Janet Templeton, an intrepid widow whose husband had been the Secretary of the Bank of Scotland. She, with numerous children and her brother and sister in law, hired a sailing vessel and brought Saxon sheep, a precursor to the Merino, to Australia.
Her original, heritage, convict built, stone farmhouse still stands as it was, in the Homestead grounds. There is also a gracious, six bedroomed federation homestead, which is available as accommodation for guests. The houses are set in beautiful established gardens. There are a number of other buildings in the Homestead grounds, such as the shearing shed, which is available as a reception venue, shearers’ quarters, manager’s cottage and work buildings.
